Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

Sometimes when you arrive at the Magic Kingdom you want to head straight to your favorite attraction. And sometimes you just want to walk slowly down Main Street U.S.A, taking in the atmosphere and just to enjoy being there. On mornings like that it’s also fun to head over to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments for a relaxing and yummy breakfast.

Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle

I dream about Disney waffles when I am at home so I have to have at least one on every trip. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments has one of my favorites, the Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwiches. The waffle was made while we waited so it was fresh and warm.

It came with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. Under that was a layer of nutella. It can be a little messy. We cut it into four pieces to share and I still got Nutella all over me so make sure to get plenty of napkins.

If you aren’t a Nutella fan you can also get a waffle with powdered sugar or cinnamon or with strawberries and whipped cream. And you really can’t beat the view.

From 11:00 am until 5:00 pm you can also try two other waffle sandwiches, the Sweet and Spicy Chicken or Ham, Prosciutto, and Swiss. Drew tired out the Sweet and Spicy Chicken waffle sandwich for lunch one day. It has a large portion of fried chicken, greens, and coleslaw. He loved the seasoning on the chicken but he wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw. The waffle was great of course and added a little sweetness to the spicy chicken.

Overall the Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle is still the favorite. We make them at home occasionally and they are great but not the same. Probably because we can’t see Cinderella Castle from our kitchen window. 🙂

Have you tried the waffle sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments? Which is your favorite?

Its crazy, but we’ve never tried these – yet we eat them at home all the time.  Of course, at home, we serve them on a plate, with a knife and fork – so they aren’t nearly as messy to eat.  I like to top mine with whipped cream too.

The fresh fruit and Nutella waffle tops my of list of favorite Disney snacks. It’s the one thing I MUST get, every visit. Warm, fresh, and even a little bit healthy!

    It’s also a very photogenic dish 🙂

I’m a big waffle fan and these look so delicious. I feel like having fruits, nutella and waffle for breakfast tomorrow now 🙂 I’ve never heard of sweet and spicy chicken waffle and I think this is something my husband would love.

I really loved the chicken – but the waffle on mine was a bit stale – I got the last one of the day. I don’t understand why the hours for the chicken are so short! I think I am the only person in the world that is not a fan of nutella 🙂

The spicy chicken one is brilliant! I was leaning towards the top one, but then you told me about the Nutella on it. Just can’t bring myself to eat that stuff, but I’m so glad there’s other options.
