The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

February 15, 2013

We usually don’t end up eating at our resort too often on our Disney vacations. But when we stayed at Saratoga Springs we tried to slow down a bit and actually enjoy what the resort had to offer. I am so glad we did. The Artist’s Palette has become one of my favorite quick service locations.

We mostly had lunch or dinner there but we did try breakfast one morning. I wasn’t feeling too adventurous so I just had a cheese danish, big surprise there. Drew tried out the omelette of the day which had cheddar cheese, ham, onion, and red and green peppers. They are made to order so you can ask them to leave something out if you want. He loved it and said it was cooked perfectly. I tried one of the breakfast potatoes and they were really good as well.

We also tried two of the flatbreads. My favorite was the Caprese, which is topped with olive oil, roasted garlic, plum tomatoes, Buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil and is drizzled with a balsamic vinegar reduction. It is similar to the one found at Pinocchio Village Haus but better. There were more toppings and it was made fresh. I would go back to visit the resort just to have another.

The cheese flatbread was good as well but it was pretty standard. It would be a great option for picky eaters. Both flatbreads were also big enough to share if you didn’t want a big meal. Or if like me and you wanted a cookie too.

Drew’s favorite item on the menu was the Saratoga Lobster Club Sandwich. He liked it so much he had it a couple of times. It has lobster salad, smoked bacon, lettuce tomato, and lemon mayonnaise. The sandwiches are a great option to grab and then go relax by the pool.

I tried out the Roasted Vegetable Panini on one of our pool days. It comes with goat cheese, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and zucchini. It was really good as well. I loved having several vegetarian options to choose from.

Another nice feature is that if you have a Tables in Wonderland card you can uses it at The Artist’s Palette. Like I said earlier, we really enjoyed all of our meals there. The Artist’s Palatte not only offered some unique items, they seemed a little fresher than some of the meals we have gotten at other Disney resorts.

Oh my gosh! Saratoga Springs is a resort we have yet to visit. We will have to make sure to stop by next time for lunch. The caprese flatbread and the veggie panini both look delicious!
