A Muppet Christmas Carol Movie Night

A Muppet Christmas Carol Movie Night

Welcome to those of you joining me from A Disney Mom’s Thoughts and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail. Today we are sharing our ideas for Disney holiday parties and we are putting together a Muppet Christmas Carol movie night!

Decorations

Since it is the Christmas season you don’t have to do too much if your home is already decorated for the holidays. That’s what makes this movie night easy and fun! But here are a few extras you can add.

Muppet Christmas Carol Movie Night Decorations

Popcorn + Cranberry Garland
Christmas Crackers – They have a great selection at World Market.
Garland with Dried Fruit
Printables with Quotes from the Movie

Food + Drinks

“Please sir, I want some cheese.”

You have to have cheeses for the meeces! I have been making this cheeseball for years now and it has always been a hit. I don’t add in the bell peppers or onions but that is just a personal preference. You can also use soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce. If you are feeling creative you can shape it to resemble your favorite muppet.

These Kermit cupcakes are adorable!
Green popcorn is always a good idea for a Muppet themed movie night.
Kermit’s Green Apples with Peanut Butter Dip or Rainbow Connection Fruit Skewers

Eggnog is always fun and for the adults a Kahlua Kermit!

You can also dress up as the characters from the film. I love DisneyBounding because it is so simple and you can usually use items you already have in your closet. Here are a few ideas.

And here is my favorite song from the movie to get you into the Christmas spirit. 🙂

JenniferKaufman I think I prefer the older ones just because that’s what I grew up with. I love the new ones too!

I LOVE the Disney Bounding options! This movie is so good, but I have to ask – do you prefer the older or newer Muppet installments? 🙂

This sounds like a fun party! I love anything with Kermit in it and those Kermit treats would be perfect.

You know, I haven’t seen this movie in YEARS.  It’s on Netflix, so we’ll have to plan to watch it this year.  Who’s your favorite Muppet character?

With all the different versions of the Christmas Carol I think the Muppets are my favorite! All I hear is Kermit singing “tis the season to be jolly and JOYOUS!” Do you happen to know if there’s a soundtrack for that movie? That would be a fun accompaniment to the party!
