So this one was hard. This month’s Kill Refurb Marry topic is World Showcase counter service spots. I love Epcot’s World Showcase so choosing a counter service restaurant to kill was hard and choosing a favorite was even harder.
Kill – Liberty Inn
I mostly choose to kill Liberty Inn because we never eat there and we hardly visit. As proof I couldn’t even find a good photo. Neither of us are really excited about the menu and the seating area can get so loud. I’ll be a good blogger and eat hear soon but I wouldn’t really miss it if it were gone.
Refurb – Sommerfest
At one time this counter service location would have been on my kill list simply because of it’s lack of vegetarian options. But since the menu was updated I can enjoy a nice snack here. But it would be nice if it was more than just a little kiosk outside of Biergarten. It would also be nice if there were a little more seating. I don’t know how it could be added but I’d love to be able to sit and enjoy the pavilion a little more.
This was another location that we rarely visited in the past. The bakery was so hard to get into, especially when it was crowded, and the lack of seating made it a place we rarely visited. Boy has that changed! We visit Les Halles Boulangerie & Pâtisserie on pretty much every visit to Epcot these days. I love all of the options, the pastries and desserts are beautiful, it’s much easier to navigate the line, and the added seating is so nice. Our favorite time to visit is in the mornings for breakfast. It’s not very crowded and it’s fun exploring the pavilion before everyone else arrives. Combine the bakery with the new Le’Artisan des Glaces and the France Pavilion has become our favorite place to hang out in the World Showcase.
Bridesmaid – Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe
Norway is still my favorite World Showcase pavilion so I had to mention the first bakery that won my heart, Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. While we haven’t been hanging out in the pavilion much lately, the crowds to see Anna and Elsa make it a little crazy, I still love everything about it and the Cloudberry Horn continues to be my favorite pastry in Epcot.
