It’s time for another round of Kill Refurb Marry hosted by Mouse on the Mind and This Happy Place Blog. This time around we are taking a look at the pre-shows at Epcot. I thought this one would be hard since only one pre-show came to mind when I first started thinking about the topic. But it ended up being fairly cut and dry. Here are my choices.
Kill – Mission: SPACE
I have no love for Mision: SPACE. Sorry. I was initially really intrigued by this attraction because I’ve always had a fascination with space and I’m a bit of a sci-fi junkie. And then I had the bright idea to try the orange level of intensity and thought I really was going to have to use one of the barf bags they provide. Sorry Gary Senise I love you but this is not a pre-show that I want to see again any time soon.
Refurb – Ellen’s Energy Adventure
I adore this attraction. It was one of my favorites as a kid (dinosaurs!) and it’s still an attraction that we visit almost every trip. But I would love to see the pre-show updated. Keep Ellen, Bill Nye, maybe even Stupid Judy but it needs a little love. An addition I would love to see, Neil deGrasse Tyson. After watching the newest version of Cosmos I think he would be a perfect fit.
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth isn’t my favorite nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World but I LOVE the music loop that plays before the shows begins. The music really sets the mood for the show. And since you have to get a spot early it’s nice having something to listen to.
