Kill Refurb Marry – Crescent Lake Restaurants

November 13, 2013

Kill Refurb Marry

Today I am FINALLY participating in the Kill Refurb Marry Blog Hop! In case you’re wondering what I’m talking about, here is a little background from Melissa at Mouse on the Mind.

Estelle from This Happy Place Blog and I decided to transform the popular game into a WDW-themed game of Kill Refurb Marry. Our little game has been growing in popularity, and over the summer, several other bloggers chimed in with their own entries … so we decided to add a little Blog Hop action to the game so we can all link up!

I’ve loved reading this series so I was really excited to participate. Until I realized how hard it is! This month’s topic is Crescent Lake Restaurants. I feel so guilty about picking one to kill. I just know the restaurants will be judging me the next time I’m there. Here goes nothing.

Big River Grille & Brewing Works

I fully admit I am taking the cowards way out with this one. My choice would be Big River Grille & Brewing Works. Not because I don’t like the place, to be honest I’ve never been to the location on the Boardwalk, but because I live near Chattanooga and we have two locally. We love the two here locally but we never visit the one at WDW because we want to spend our time at places we don’t get to that often. So I’m sorry Big River Grill it’s not you, it’s me.

Flying Fish Cafe

This is so hard! So I guess my choice would be Flying Fish Cafe. We have only visited once and we really enjoyed the food (the actually have some great vegetarian options) and the service was awesome. But the decor really isn’t my favorite. The ceiling is pretty cool, it looks like the sky and has really cool lighting, but that’s all I really liked.

Not too long ago the Boardwalk Bakery would have been on my refurb list. It was so cramped I usually sent Drew in there on his own and waited outside. But not any more! We stopped by on our last trip and I am in love with the renovations. It looks so great inside and it’s so spacious! And I love that they added a separate entrance for resort guests. Bonus, new treats!

The bridesmaid in this category is the ESPN Club. We had an awesome time watching baseball there on our last trip. I also have a slight addiction to watching ESPN so it’s pretty much heaven to me. If they had cupcakes it would have probably won.

Make sure to stop by This Happy Place Blog and Mouse on the Mind to check out their posts and all of the other awesome blogs that have linked up. Or you can link up your blog!

What a fun feature! I have never been to any of these restaurants but Boardwalk Bakery sure looks cute.

My husband would not like you for your Kill. We go to Big River at least once per trip.

I’ll have to check out the Boardwalk Bakery now that it’s been renovated! I loved the snacks we got there, but it did feel very small!

So glad you joined in on the fun!
Agree with your kill for sure!
I hope to one day check out Flying Fish. We usually have the dining plan and I hate using two credits. Maybe one day on a special occasion we will check it out. Looks pretty!

That’s fun! I’ve never heard of this game before. And I’ve never been to any of these places either.
