Halloween Time on Main Street U.S.A

Welcome to those of you joining me from Your Highway in the Sky and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the fourth stop on our Magical Blogorail. Today we are discussing Halloween time at Disney. It’s one of my favorite times of year!

We visited Walt Disney World during the Halloween season for the first time in 2011. I was expecting to be impressed by all of the decorations but I had no idea how impressed I would be. We have visited during the fall every year since. These are a few of my favorite things on Main Street U.S.A during Halloween time.

Fall Decorations

Main Street U.S.A is one of my favorite places any time of year but I love seeing it decorated for the holidays. When you enter there are pumpkin scarecrows that are not so scary representations of they citizens of Main Street, bunting in Fall colors on the buildings, and orange and yellow flowers.

Pumpkins everywhere!

It begins with the pumpkin scarecrows but there are carved pumpkins all along Main Street. The carvings represent the buildings they sit in front of.

But my favorite pumpkins are the smiling faces that are on the wreaths that line Main Street. They are beautiful during the day but at night I absolute love them as they come alive and flicker.

Window Decorations

The store windows are always something that should be admired but during the Fall they all have a Halloween theme. My favorite are the ones in front of the Confectionary that feature Daisy, Donald, and Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

Statues in the Hub

Once you get to the end of Main Street, there are special statues out next to the Partners Statue. Each one features a Disney character in a Halloween costume. Make sure to visit them at night too!

I love that they change the hub statues. It’s such a cute touch! And I secretly want one of the Mickey pumpkin lanterns to hang in my room this time of year.

I was so impressed by the decorations on Main Street. I wish my pumpkin carving skills were like those at Disney. 🙂
