Garden Grill Review

May 12, 2014

Garden Grill

We’ve always wanted to try dinner at the Garden Grill. It’s located in one of our favorite pavilions, The Land, has characters including Farmer Mickey (who you can’t meet anywhere else), it rotates, and has views of one of our favorite attractions Living with the Land. The only thing stopping us was the fact that the food is served family style and that’s a whole lot of food for two people especially when one of them is a vegetarian and isn’t going to touch most of it. 🙂 Over the holidays we visited the parks with some friends so we finally visited.

The meal is officially called Chip ‘n Dale’s Harvest Feast at The Garden Grill. The restaurant is only open for dinner and the typical hours are 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. We were dining there as a part of the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages so the hours were extended a little.

Garden Grill

During the meal you have a chance to meet Chip, Dale, Farmer Mickey, and Pluto. We’ve done a few character meals now and this is the only one where we were able to spend a lot of time with the characters and meet them a second time. It was a lot of fun!

Garden Grill

The meals starts with a basket of bread with orange blossom honey butter and the “Living with the Land” Harvest-inspired Farmer’s Salad. The bread was better than I was expecting and I loved the butter. The salad was fresh with lots of veggies.

It’s served with the dressing so if you would like it on the side let them know ahead of time. It also has bacon on the top so they brought out a bacon free one for me.

Garden Grill

Next up was the main course, Char-grilled Filet of Beef with Demi-Glace Steak Butter, Roasted All-Natural Turkey Breast with Stuffing and a House-made Gravy, the Sustainable Fish of the Day which was Tilapia with Tomato Jam, and Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes.

Garden Grill

Everyone seemed to really enjoy everything. I think the standout for everyone was the turkey. It’s all you care to eat so if you want more of a particular dish or more of everything just let your server know.

Garden Grill

The vegetarian option was amazing. On our visit they served a polenta cake in tomato broth with grilled mushroom, zucchini, and carrots. Yum! I really enjoyed the dish and I loved that they served something different. It gets tiring when the vegetarian options are either pasta or a veggie burger.

Garden Grill

Dessert also had a couple of options. First up was the Berry Cobbler which was the standout. It’s served with a vanilla bean whipped cream. We really enjoyed it. The skillet keeps it nice and warm and it takes a lot like cornbread which is a plus for me.

We also got a couple of cupcakes. They were yellow cake with chocolate icing. They were good but not really anything special. They were really cute though!

Garden Grill

We loved the Garden Grill. It’s definitely been one of our favorite character meals and we can’t wait to visit again. The food was really good and the time you get to spend with each character is awesome. Have you been to Chip ‘n Dale’s Harvest Feast at The Garden Grill?

Excellent review and you got some awesome pictures of you and Drew with the characters!  We did this meal a few years ago and enjoyed it but it was right after our stroller and all my camera equipment had been stolen, so there was a bit of a dark cloud hanging over our experience.  I think we need to give it a second chance sometime.

The Garden Grill is my favorite place to eat at Epcot! I love seeing the characters and part of Living With The Land while you eat. It’s not everyday you get to eat at a spinning restaurant! 🙂
