Disney Favorites – Royal Anandapur Tea Company

April 5, 2013

For Animal Kingdom Month I’m going to be taking a look at some of our favorite spots in the park. You can find our first fave between Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest, right across from Yak & Yeti.

Royal Anandapur Tea Company

When we visit any of the parks there is usually one spot that we gravitate towards. The Royal Anandapur Tea Company is our spot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We will head here first thing in the morning for breakfast and coffee, in the afternoon for a snack and tea, and on those few late evenings in the Animal Kingdom the lighting alone is enough to make me want to hang out there.

The area is beautiful at night.

The themeing of the area is beautiful. It is designed to make you feel like you are visiting a local tea spot. There are so many details it takes multiple visits to really take them all in.

Luckily it is a place that you can visit often. We usually stop by more than once during our vacations. They have coffees, hot tea and iced teas along with hot chocolate and frozen drinks. We are usually coffee drinkers but the tea here is something you really need to try.

Loose Leaf Teas

They also have a few food options that include pastries, muffins, and cookies. We’ve tried a couple of different items but our favorite is the bear claw. It’s huge! You can definitely share it but I have no idea why you would want to do that.

Bear Claw

Once you have your caffeine head over to there are a few tables and benches close by and accross the path at Yak & Yeti but I recommend heading to the right, down a little hill, to this seating area. It is beautiful and is usually unoccupied.

Our favorite seating area.

More awesome details.

If you would like to read our reviews of some of the food and drink options you can find them here and here. And if you would like to check out the current menu and a description of the teas head over to AllEars.net.

I love it there! And that little sitting area is so beautiful. That’s my favorite thing about Animal Kingdom park – the charming little nooks where you can be totally immersed in the theme. Gorgeous.

As you know, next to the Writers Stop at Hollywood Studios this is my favorite breakfast spot in the park. Love that I can get coffee and tea.

This is also one of MY favorite spots. No matter who I’m with or where we are headed (almost always Mount Everest!) I swerve off to the Royal Anandapur Tea Company. (I don’t ride Everest anyway :)) I’m a HUGE fan of tea and always so delighted to find a good selection with knowledgeable brewers. And I’ll be looking for that seating area this October! Thanks for the great post!
