Disney Dream – Breakfast at Royal Palace

March 14, 2013

Royal Palace on the Disney Dream

Our first morning on the Disney Dream we decided we wanted a nice, relaxing breakfast so we headed to The Royal Palace. It was one of the best decisions we made. We arrived pretty early so it wasn’t too crowded and we were seated right away.

I started the day with some of the ship’s house made yogurt, Mango Mountain Hike. It was a blend of fresh mangoes, honey, granola, and low-fat yogurt. It was light, refreshing, and probably the best yogurt I’ve had.

Our server recommended French Toast and Pineapple Stack, layers of French toast and grilled pineapple topped with strawberry coulis and maple glaze. I loved grilled pineapple and this dish was delicious. The flavors were amazing. The strawberry coulis and maple glaze really made the dish.

Drew went with the Waffle Sandwich. It is two waffles stuffed with Dulce de Leche and rolled in cinnamon sugar. It was a hit as well. He was a little afraid that it would be too sweet but it really wasn’t.

This was an awesome way to start out the day. The restaurant had a nice relaxing pace and we had a great view. The Dream docked in the Bahamas as we ate. This ended up being our favorite breakfast so I highly recommend stopping by the Royal Palace on your cruise.

Grilled pineapple and french toast sounds like an amazing combination. Both dishes look fantastic!
