This post ended up being a lot harder than I thought it would be! My Disney Side is such a deep rooted part of me that I really don’t think of it as a side, it’s just who I am. I listen to Disney music, watch Disney Junior even though I don’t have kids, visit the parks at least four times a year, I have Disney posters, photos, and vinylmations all over my house, I have more Disney t-shirts than I care to admit, and I have a blog dedicated to all things Disney. But the Disney Side that is most important to me is the one that I only really get to enjoy in the parks.
Drew wrote a post a few years ago about why we love visiting Walt Disney World so much. When I’m in the Disney Parks I have a feeling I rarely feel, I’m just like everyone else. I don’t have to worry about whether the transportation is accessible, if there is a bathroom I can use, if the resort room really accessible as the hotel thinks it is, can I get to a table easily in a restaurant? Those questions and a million more are already answered for me and the answer is YES! So if you see me in the parks, I’m kinda like this.
At Disney I really do leave all of my worries behind so my care free side really gets to shine. We get to focus on just being happy, having fun, and acting like a couple of kids. My care free side makes funny faces with Peter Pan, conquers mountains, laughs with Donald Duck, decides it’s a good idea to get into a swinging gondola on Mickey’s Fun Wheel, and tries things I never thought I would.
