I have always been a pop culture junkie. I watch entirely too much television. And I will watch almost any movie, even bad ones. My first visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (of course it was MGM Studios back then) was memorable because of that. I get excited and nostalgic every time I visit even though so much has changed. And now I have to say goodbye to one of my favorites, The Great Movie Ride.
Walt Disney World is a lot more than just attractions. Live entertainment at Disney is something we enjoy just as much. Here are some of our favorites from. Some of them would be great for a Disney date night or just an entire day. We have a few suggested itineraries to make the most of each park but you can pick and choose to best suit how long you plan on being in the park. Join this month’s Blogorail Orange Loop as we share some of the best live entertainment at the Disney Parks.
Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Green Loop. Today we are sharing some Disney inspired date ideas. We’re taking the geekiness up a notch and helping you plan a Star Wars themed date night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Andrew and I both love Star Wars. One night on our last trip we decided to have our date night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It ended up being a Star Wars centric visit. Here are a few things we experienced to help you plan your date night. The couple that geeks out together stays together!
I was so excited to hear that Star Wars Land was coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And now I’m just extremely sad to hear that this year will be the final year to enjoy the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. I understand that in order for something new to arrive that we sometimes have to let go of attractions we know and love. But not my lights! As I try to wrap my brain around the fact that not only will I not see the lights this year but never again, here’s a post I wrote about my love of the Osborne Lights.
One of my favorite attractions is Star Tours. (And I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about Star Wars Land!!) I also find it to be one of the easiest attractions to experience that requires a transfer from your wheelchair.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is still my favorite park. Really. I’m not just saying that because it’s the park’s 25th anniversary. I know it has it’s issues but I fell in love with it on my first visit in the early 90s and I haven’t looked back. It is the first place I took Drew when we were dating and took our first trip together. It’s the place I like to visit last on our trips and if you ask me where I want to go hang out on our vacations more often than not I’m going to choose Hollywood Studios.
So why do I still love this park so much? First, it has absolutely nothing to do with the attractions. Sometimes we visit with out riding a single one. For me it’s all about the atmosphere and the little traditions we’ve made through the years. So here are a few of the little things that I love about Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
