Liberty Belle Riverboat - Liberty Square

At the Magic Kingdom you can take a leisurely ride down the Rivers of America on the Liberty Belle Riverboat. It is a great way to take a break and relax. I like to take the trip in the afternoon. If you time it just right, you can watch some of the 3:00 parade as it passes by.

The wheelchair entrance is through the attraction’s exit. If you are facing the river boat it is to your left towards Frontierland. This takes you to the lowest level of the Liberty Belle where there is a ramp to get on board.

Ride Vehicle

Liberty Belle Riverboat Wheelchair Ramp

Since the ride vehicle is the Liberty Belle, there is a ramp to get on and off of the boat. There will be a Cast Member there to place it for you. Once on board, I like to go towards the front of the boat but it is at a bit of an incline. If you want to sit somewhere flat stay towards the middle of the boat.

I encourage you to take the time to visit the Liberty Belle. There are some great views to take in and it is a classic attraction narrated by Mark Twain. He details “a time when traveling was as much about new discoveries as it was about transportation.”

From the Liberty Bell you can see:
• An early American settlement
• An idyllic Native American village
• Harper’s Mill
• Fort Langhorn
• Wilson’s Cave Inn
• Woodland animals, including deer
• Unique views of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain and The Haunted Mansion

Sometimes it is nice to take is slow and relax, even at Walt Disney World. The attraction takes about 17 minutes to experience so take that into account before you board. If you have any questions just leave a comment below. 🙂

Melissa, You are so right. The Liberty Belle also offers a respite for seniors, folks with Sensory Integration disorders, and anyone who loves tranquility! I love your prespective, and am so thankful that you share it with us. 😀
