Accessible Attractions – Enchanted Tales with Belle

Enchanted Tales with Belle

Enchanted Tales with Belle combines a character meet and greet with a little Disney magic. The results are pretty cool in my opinion. Here is a brief description that will hopefully give you an idea of what to expect if you use a wheelchair. I don’t want to give away too many details, you really should experience it without knowing too much, but I wanted to give you a few tips.

Wheelchair users can either use the standard queue or book a FastPass+ time using My Disney Experience. The FastPass+ queue is short and bypasses the wait inside the cottage. The show can only accommodate two wheelchairs at a time so that may add a little time to your wait.

I would recommend scheduling a FastPass+ time or visiting first thing in the morning since wait times can get pretty long. Also the standard queue is mostly located outside, which means you could be in the heat for a while and it consists of several switchbacks that are pretty narrow. Once you get inside Maurice’s cottage it is pretty narrow as well. But it is beautiful with lots of great details.

Once you leave the main cottage area you go into Maurice’s workshop. If you go through the standard queue make sure a Cast Member sees you so you can get toward the front of the room. If you are anywhere in the back you will not be able to see without standing. I don’t want to give too much away if you haven’t been but believe me, you want to see what happens next.

After you are transported to Beast’s Castle you are in another staging area. A Cast Member will help direct you where to go so you can see everything. Here the Cast Member and Madame Wardrobe choose the participants for the interactive portion of the attraction.

After everyone is chosen you are then let into the library. There is marked wheelchair seating on both sides of the library. There is a spot next to the benches for your wheelchair and then your party can sit next to you. How well you can see will really depend on who sits in front of you. If you have a child that is using a wheelchair I would ask to move if they are unable to see everything. Once everyone is seated I don’t think it would be a problem for them to be in the aisle but I would ask before moving.

We really enjoyed Enchanted Tales with Belle. We love character meet and greets and this takes them to another level. The animatronics are amazing, especially Lumiere.
